Oriental Palace - Las Cruces
About This Spot
Stepping into Oriental Palace, tucked away in the heart of Las Cruces along E Idaho Avenue, you’re greeted by a quiet, unpretentious charm that invites you to pause and settle in. This is one of those neighborhood spots where the rhythm slows down just enough to feel comfortable—a place where familiar flavors and a genuine welcome go hand in hand. The pace is easy, whether you're dining in during a lunch break or grabbing a quick, thoughtfully prepared meal to go.
Inside, the atmosphere is laid-back with subtle nods to the classic Asian dining experience, focusing more on comfort than fanfare. The staff’s friendly attentiveness, especially in their curbside service, makes it clear that they value not only the food but also the connection with their guests. It’s the kind of place where regulars are recognized and daily specials spark a bit of anticipation among locals.
The menu mirrors this down-to-earth spirit—offering heartwarming dishes like steaming bowls of wonton soup or generous plates of chow mein that balance fresh vegetables with just the right touch of savory. There’s a simple, satisfying quality to each bite, whether it’s the crunchy sweetness of an almond chicken special or the familiar comfort of tender meatballs swimming in broth. Portions fit well for a midweek lunch, thoughtfully sized to nourish without overwhelming.
Oriental Palace doesn’t rush you, but it also understands the pulse of a busy day outside. Its blend of straightforward flavors, consistent freshness, and approachable service creates a quietly reliable stop for those seeking a little comfort with genuine care. It’s one of those places that, over time, becomes a familiar friend—a steady presence in the bustling pace of everyday life.

Didn't blow my expectations but the plate I ordered to go was good. I ate all of it. Either I was too hungry or the serving was smaller than other comparable restaurants. They have great daily specials. Vegetables are always fresh. My favorite special is Monday: Almond Chicken with an egg roll. It's very delicious. FYI, After my initial review I noticed they are serving a little more food than before.

I've NEVER been to this restaurant even though Google says so LOL! It is one I've been meaning to try. I visit an office nearby LOL. I rated 5 stars in order to enable this comment box and because my Sister says this restaurant serves delicious food!

The food is amazing. They give perfect quantity for a workday lunch. The curbside to-go service is the best because of friendly and active waitress. This should be your go-to place for ~$10 healthy lunch. Only caution is, call 15-20 mins ahead of your arrival.
